Hyderabad FC defender Chinglensana Singh has parted ways with the club, officially terminating his contract over unpaid wages. The Nizams were expected to loan out a number of their players for the second half of the season, including the likes of Nikhil Poojary.
But with the AIFF issuing the No Objection Certificate for the defender, he has parted ways with the club as a free agent and is now set to choose a project of his liking. The news will come as a shock to the Hyderabad FC faithful, who have seen the best of the Indian centre-back over the last few years.
Chinglensana Singh leaves Hyderabad FC over unpaid wages
Singh was a part of the squad that won the ISL title under Manolo Marquez in 2021, in his second season after joining from Delhi Dynamos. But things have taken a turn for the worse since then, and the club finds itself in dire straits with the termination of Chinglensana Singh’s contract being the latest issue.
The recent issues in Manipur have also taken a toll on the player, which he will be looking to leave behind as he begins a new club football chapter.
Bengaluru FC are currently leading the race to sign the 28-year-old but are yet to finalise the details of the deal. Since the player is in control of the club he chooses at this stage, any ISL club can lure him away with the right contract offer.
