Shortcut Key of Redo
In Access, you can undo and redo the previous 20 typing or design operations you performed. Use Ctrl + Z to reverse an action. Use Ctrl + Y to reverse an undone action.
You can undo or redo one or more typing operations using the undo and redo functions, but you cannot skip any steps; instead, all activities must be undone or redone in the same sequence that they were done. To undo the initial modification you made after changing the values of three fields in a record, for instance, you have to undo the three changes.
Likewise, you may reverse most design modifications you make to database objects, like adding a sort order to a query field or a control to a report. Adjustments to the design must also be reversed in order.

To reverse the latest data enter, hit CTRL+Z.
Choose one of the following to reverse multiple actions:
Select the activities you wish to undo by clicking the arrow next to “Undo Typing” on the Quick Access Toolbar.
The selected typing gestures are all inverted. The most recent action will be the first one you can undo, and you can only reverse the sequence in which they happened. For example, you cannot undo the changes you made to your typing only the second time. You have to undo the action before the second typing change in order to reverse it.
Press CTRL+Z repeatedly until the action you want to undo is undone if you are unable to access the Quick Access Toolbar, such as when using a modal form.
Reverse any design alterations
Just as you may reverse data entry, you can also reverse design changes made to database objects.

Assist in avoiding missed work
Though it isn’t a replacement for routinely saving your work, undo can truly rescue the day. With Backup and Restore and Application Parts (a type of template), you can lessen the likelihood that work will be lost due to crashes or problems.
Create a backup and restore
Create a database backup before beginning any significant design revisions. You can then restore as much from the backup as necessary if you make a number of design changes and are unable to undo them all.
Sections of Applications
You should think about developing an application portion if you have standard components that you use in most or all of your databases. A form of template that may be added to an already-existing database, an application element can include one or more database objects together with data or not.
