The draw for the Kalinga Super Cup 2024 has been confirmed, with the four groups now revealed. Each team consists of four teams – including three ISL clubs and one from the I-League. The winners from each of these groups will qualify for the semifinal, and the winner will receive a slot at the 2024-25 AFC Champions League 2.
“One of the reasons we are conducting it in January is because of the problems faced by the clubs when played in April last year,” AIFF Acting Secretary General Mr Satyanarayan M said. He added that clubs will be able to name and play six foreigners in their squads to cope with the loss of Indian and fellow Asian and African national team players.
