Lava is set to make waves in the Indian smartphone market with the imminent launch of a new device featuring a curved display. The company, known for its budget-friendly Storm, Blaze, Agni, and Yuva Series, has been steadily gaining popularity in the affordable segment. Sunil Raina, President of Lava Mobiles, tantalized enthusiasts with a teaser on Twitter, revealing the upcoming arrival of the Lava Blaze Curve 5G.

Raina cleverly encoded the message within the tweet, unveiling the device’s name by rearranging the letters in “EALGVUZ5CBER,” resulting in Blaze Curve 5G. This forthcoming smartphone marks Lava’s first foray into the curved display realm, and Raina hinted at an OLED panel, adding a touch of sophistication to the device. Lava recently introduced the Blaze 2 5G, an affordable 5G offering priced at ₹9999 in India. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset and featuring a 50MP primary camera, the Blaze 2 5G is available in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB storage variants.

The anticipation is that the Lava Blaze Curve 5G will position itself as a mid-range device, aligning with the company’s strategy of offering devices below the ₹20,000 price range. Lava’s focus on delivering affordable 5G smartphones coupled with the introduction of a curved display is poised to elevate the premium feel of their devices within this price segment.

The Lava Blaze Curve 5G is expected to follow in the footsteps of devices like the Realme 11 Pro, which first introduced curved displays under ₹25,000 in India. However, Lava aims to break new ground by offering the Blaze Curve 5G at an even more competitive price, effectively lowering the entry barrier for Indian customers seeking curved display devices.

Techarch’s report highlights Lava’s rising popularity among the youth in India, particularly with its Agni, Yuva, Blaze, and Storm Series. The brand’s emphasis on youth-centric design and specifications has garnered over 82% customer satisfaction, with a significant majority expressing the intent to upgrade to their next smartphone from the same brand. As Lava continues to innovate and expand its offerings, it solidifies its position as a key player in the Indian smartphone market.
