After spending an extremely quiet transfer window until the signing of Thiago was announced, Liverpool have sprung to life in the transfer window.
While some predicted very little money to be spent by the reigning Premier League champions, they have decided to build on their momentum and turn to reinforcements in attack.

Earlier in the transfer window, Klopp was critical of teams like Manchester City and Chelsea spending big on players. However, the club is set to land Wolves forward Diogo Jota imminently. This puts Klopp’s claims earlier in the window on the verge of irony.
The amount of money paid for the Portuguese winger is reported to be in the range of £45 million.
The club wanted Watford’s Sarr to provide some depth on the wings, but have now turned their attention to Jota, reaching an agreement with Wolves in the process.
According to Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Jota to Liverpool is almost said and done with medicals scheduled to take place in the coming days.
Predicting Jota’s Role at Liverpool
Jota has been one of Wolves’ key players, providing 16 goals and 6 assists across all competitions last season. His versatility across the front three makes him a prime candidate for minutes during rotation.
It is difficult to see Jota starting ahead of Salah or Mane. However, he could prove to be a worthy rotation option. Quality in squad depth has been an issue for Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Due to the immense talent of Salah and Mane, the team struggles in their absence. Signing the Portuguese forward will surely help the team share the responsibility of scoring and creating chances.
It seems to be only a matter of time before Liverpool announce their third signing of the summer. The club recruited Kostas Tsimikas and Thiago to reinforce their chances of defending their title.
Liverpool take on Chelsea this weekend. However, fans will have to wait to see the new signings in action.
