Edin Dzeko is on the verge of joining Juventus from AS Roma. The Italian champions have already agreed to personal terms with the striker. The deal will be finalized very soon. AS Roma has also signed Dzeko’s replacement in the form of Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli.
The Bosnia and Herzegovina skipper joined AS Roma in 2015 after spending 5 seasons in Premier League with Manchester City. He had won 2 Premier League titles in his time at Manchester.
In 222 games for AS Roma, he has scored 106 goals. He won the ‘Golden Boot’ of Serie-A in the 2016-17 season. Now he wants to leave the Italian capital for Turin.
The 34-year-old will sign a two-year deal worth €7.5 million (£7m/$9m) per year, while Juventus will pay AS Roma around €16m (£15m/$19m) for his services.
Juventus were linked with Luis Suarez from the start of this transfer window. But the response from the Uruguayan Striker and his club FC Barcelona was not so entertaining to the Serie A champions. According to some recent reports, he is going to join Atletico Madrid.
So, Juventus turned their interest on the Roma Striker and agreed to personal terms. The only thing remaining is the paperwork, which will be done in the next few days.
Dzeko will be a great replacement for Gonzalo Higuain who left the club this summer for MLS side Inter Miami. Everyone is eager to see Dzeko’s partnership with Cristiano Ronaldo from next season.
