Samsung Galaxy A25 5G and Galaxy A15 5G, initially unveiled in Vietnam on December 11, are now set to launch in India. Samsung has disclosed the launch date for these A-series phones, which is scheduled for December 26 at 12:30 pm IST. The Indian variants are anticipated to mirror the specifications of their Vietnamese counterparts, featuring Android 14-based One UI 6.0, Super AMOLED displays, and 5,000mAh batteries supporting 25W wired charging.
The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy A15 5G and Galaxy A25 5G
The Galaxy A15 5G, positioned as the successor to the Galaxy A14 5G, will introduce a 50-megapixel triple camera system with Video Digital Image Stabilization (VDIS), reducing blur and distortion in videos. It will be available in various storage and RAM configurations.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A25 5G is confirmed to feature a 120Hz Super AMOLED display and a 50-megapixel optical image stabilization (OIS) supported triple rear camera unit. Samsung asserts that the Galaxy A25 5G will come with pre-installed AI-backed photo-editing features and will be powered by a 5nm chipset.
Both phones will come with the Knox Security platform, which is integrated at the chip level. This platform gives users control, over their data. Includes features like Auto Blocker, Secure Folder, Privacy Dashboard, and Samsung Passkey. The Knox Vault chipsets also provide enhanced data security.
Regarding pricing in India, it has not been revealed yet. However, in Vietnam, the Galaxy A25 5G is priced at VND 65,90,000 (₹22,500) while the Galaxy A15 5G is listed at VND 62,90,000 (₹21,500). Both models are available in blue light blue and yellow color options.
The Galaxy A25 5G features a 6.5-inch HD+ Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. It is powered by an Exynos 1280 SoC along with a Mali G68 MP4 GPU. On the other hand, the Galaxy A15 5G has a sized display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset.
In terms of camera capabilities for the Galaxy A25 5G; it includes a sensor of 50 megapixels, with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) a wide lens of 8 megapixels, and a macro shooter of 2 megapixels. On the hand the Galaxy A15 5G is equipped with a camera of 50 megapixels, an ultra-wide camera of 5 megapixels, and a macro sensor of 2 megapixels. Both phones are also equipped with a camera of 13 megapixels and a battery capacity of 5,000mAh. The battery supports wired charging at a speed of 25W; however, it’s important to note that chargers are not included in the market.
