When every smartphone company was releasing a flagship smartphone, Samsung too felt that revamping their previous was becoming too obvious. Handset makers like Oppo, OnePlus, Honor, Huawei and Vivo have already captured the market with their new flagship smartphones.
Well, the new age ultra-speed Snapdragon 845 is now the obvious choice for every flagship smartphones. So, Galaxy Note 9 also has Snapdragon 845 powering its body. Galaxy Note 9 is a premium device from Samsung with high-end specs loaded in it. Samsung has fixed the fingerprint sensor position in this device. Previously in Note 8, it was placed by the dual cameras which were the oddest position to place your fingers and unlock it. But it is now placed under the vertically aligned dual cameras, which makes it a better place to place your finger for unlocking.
There are bezels at the top and bottom of the device. At the top, there is a secondary noise cancellation mic and a sim tray. At the bottom, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type C port, a speaker and the S-pen in a drawer and at the left side of the phone, there is the volume rocker button and the power button.
It’s nice we don’t have to worry about charging the S-Pen – it doesn’t really have a battery, but a supercapacitor, which charges within the phone and it takes just 40 seconds. The charge is enough for up to 30 minutes of use over BLE connection, or 200 clicks on the remote. The maximum range is 10 meters. And when the charge depletes you can still write, draw, swipe, and use its key close to the screen.
The Galaxy Note9 supports fast wireless charging, as well as fast wired charging. There haven’t been any standard upgrades though – it’s the familiar Samsung adaptive charging and QuickCharge 2.0 – speeds. Which is somewhat disappointing – that large 4,000 mAh battery would take a while to charge over QC2.0 for sure. One of the most important thing about this Note 9 is that it is going to launch in two variants with two different processors for different vountries. In India, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has launched with Exynos 9810 Octa-core processor but the China variant comes with Snapdragon 845.Â

The Note9 will be available in Metallic Copper, Lavender Purple, Ocean Blue, and Midnight Black. Samsung didn’t cave under the competition and stuck to its usual color schemes instead of going for the gradient or faux-transparent trends. But that’s not a surprise, Samsung is hardly a trend-follower – you can’t see a notch on a Galaxy, can you? We are glad the maker did use some of those paints on the S-Pen though – it looks cooler, and well, fresher now.
These are all you need to need to know about Note 9 before buying it. If you are a true android lover then go for it and this device won’t let you down. Let us know how much you liked about the all-new Samsung Galaxy Note 9 in the comment section below.
