Upcoming Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra 155H in Dell XPS 13 Geekbench Results Revealed

Another set of leaked benchmark results showcases the purported performance of Intel‘s upcoming Core Ultra 7 155H, a higher-tier chip from the Meteor Lake lineup. The benchmark was reportedly conducted using Geekbench 5 on Dell’s yet-to-be-released XPS 13 9340 laptops, revealing performance figures that, while not entirely impressive, should be taken with a grain of scepticism, as is the case with all leaked benchmarks.

More About the Geekbench Score of Intel Meteor Lake Core Ultra 155H

The reported scores for the Core Ultra 7 155H are 1,689 in the single-core test and 9,910 in the multi-core test, assuming the authenticity of the results. These figures are notably similar to the performance of the top-tier Core Ultra 9 185H in a previous leaked Geekbench 5 result, although the 155H displays a slightly lower single-core score.

Details about the Core Ultra 7 155H have been gradually emerging, depicting it as a 16-core CPU comprising six P-cores, eight E-cores, and two low-power E-cores in the SoC tile. A leaked specification also suggests boosting clock speeds of 4.8 GHz for the P-cores and 3.8 GHz for the E-cores.

In comparison, the Core i7-1360P, a 12-core Raptor Lake CPU with a similar boost frequency, was used in Dell’s XPS 13 9320, achieving a single-core score of 1,797 and a multi-core score of 10,621 in a Geekbench 5 test. Interestingly, these scores slightly outperform the leaked results for the Core Ultra 7 155H.

Consistently, these scores align with previous leaks related to Meteor Lake CPUs, which theoretically boast superior performance over Raptor Lake chips like the Core i7-1360P. However, the actual performance gains are yet to be convincingly demonstrated. The variability in benchmark results may stem from different performance and power profiles, and it’s challenging to draw definitive conclusions without knowing the benchmark conditions.
