Gionee’s next offering in its home country china is official and is being dubbed as Gionee M12 Pro which comes with mid-range specs but is priced relatively cheaper and is available for the price of some entry-level smartphone. Let’s have a look at the specifications of the Gionee M12 Pro first.
The Gionee M12 Pro sports a 6.2-inch display panel with HD+ resolution and there’s a waterdrop style notch for the front camera with a 90.3% screen-to-body ratio giving a seamless viewing experience.
As far as performance is concerned, the M12 Pro is powered by a MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage and the storage can be expanded using a microSD card. Further, the whole smartphone is backed up by a 4000mAh and you also get the fan-favorite 3.5mm audio jack and dual stereo speaker.
Speaking of optics, the smartphone features a triple camera setup in a square module on the top left corner consisting of a 16-megapixel main camera, a large wide-angle sensor, and a macro camera while the fourth camera in the module is fake one just to give impressions that its a quad-camera setup which is a bit skeptical for sure but considering its price point it’s fine. On the front, you get a 13-megapixel sensor housed in the waterdrop notch.
The smartphone is just available in one storage variant which is 6GB+128GB for CNY 700 in two color options of White and Blue with gradient glossy finish back panels.
The smartphone launch was first reported by GizmoChina.
Although most of the features of both the phones are similar with the same MediaTek chipset along with 5000mAh battery, the bumped up RAM does bring in difference in the performance aspect
