Today, Poco has launched the Poco M2 in India through a virtual event. The phone, as the name suggests, is the toned-down version of previously launched Poco M2 Pro. There are a lot of specifications of this phone that has now been confirmed. Let’s check out what are those.
The POCO M2 features a Full HD+ screen resolution and 6GB of RAM. The company itself confirmed it. According to POCO, this phone is the “most affordable 6GB RAM phone” and we all know that POCO M2 will be a toned version of its predecessor POCO M2 Pro, that released in India back in July.
Regarding the other specifications about the display, the phone features a 6.53″ full HD+ IPS display with (1,080×2,400 pixels) of screen resolution. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The dimension of the phone is 163.3x77x9.1 mm and weighs 198 grams. The POCO M2 has a teardrop notch type display and a long-lasting decent battery of 5,000mAH which is supported by 18W fast charging.
Now enlighten to the camera part, the Poco M2 packs a quad-rear back camera setup with a rear LED flash, includes 13-megapixel main snapper with an f/2.2 lens alongside an 8 MP wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 lens, 5 MP macro sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and lastly a 2 MP depth sensor with an f/2.2 lens. On the front side, the phone has a teardrop notch cutout to hold an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.05 lens.
Poco M2 is powered by octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, paired with Mali G52 GPU and 6GB of RAM with internal support up to 128GB. The phone runs on MIUI for Poco, based on Android 10.
Poco offers two types of storage options for this model- 6GB RAM with 64GB of internal support and 6GB RAM with 128GB of internal storage. Depending on the storage option, the company has fixed two prices- Rs. 10,999 for the base combination and Rs. 12,499 for another combination.
The dual-SIM (Nano) Poco M2 is supported by 4G VoLTE. The other connectivity option includes – dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, IR Blaster, 3.5mm earphone jack, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging. The Poco M2 also has P2i coating for splash resistance. The other onboard sensors of the phone include an accelerometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
The company offers three color variants for Poco M2- Pitch Black, State Blue, and Brick Red. The phone will go on sale starting from 15th September 12 noon, willing people can purchase the phone through Flipkart.
