The Xiaomi 14 series consists of two models: the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro, offering a choice between a larger and smaller phone. Remarkably, both phones share identical camera capabilities, despite their differing physical attributes. The company has released a teaser poster hinting at a robust camera setup.

Xiaomi has collaborated with Leica to develop a new optical system for the Xiaomi 14, introducing the Leica Summilux lens to these smartphones. The Summilux lens boasts a wide f/1.6 aperture, enabling excellent light capture. Moreover, the lens features a multi-layer nano ALD ultra-low reflection coating with an impressive reflectivity of just 0.15%.

Xiaomi 14 Series Camera Specifications

The Xiaomi 14 camera incorporates a generous sensor size of 1/1.31″, paired with 1.2μm single pixels combined into 2.4μm large pixels. This sensor configuration excels in low-light performance, producing vibrant and detailed images in challenging lighting conditions. Notably, the Xiaomi 14 offers an exceptional ultra-high dynamic range of 13.5EV, resulting in true-to-life colors and enhanced light and shadow details. Importantly, these enhancements reduce power consumption by 42%, promising extended battery life for users.

The Xiaomi 14’s camera setup includes a Light Hunter primary camera, a notable addition to this smartphone series. Coupled with the Leica Summilux lens, it features a remarkable f/1.6 large aperture for exceptional light capture. Additionally, the Xiaomi 14 includes a versatile 3.2X vertical telephoto lens with an aperture range from f/1.6 to f/2.2 and a focal length range from 14mm to 75mm. This versatile camera arrangement is designed to cater to diverse photographic needs, complemented by a 75mm floating telephoto.
