Samsung Galaxy S21 and S21+ battery details revealed in 3C Certification

Samsung is not even done with the Note 20 hype and details for its next flagship duo have started surfacing on the internet and it seems like Samsung is already with the next S series duo which they are planning to call S21 and S21 Plus which makes sense like S21 in 2021.

Folks at over MySmartPrice have recently discovered the upcoming duo on the 3C certification website but the certification was not for Samsung Galaxy S21 or S21+ but for their batteries. MySmartPrice has shared two screenshots where Galaxy S21 has been listed as EB-BG991ABY (SM-G991) while the bigger S21+ bears the model number EB-BG996ABY (SM-G996).

The 3C listing shows that the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S21 is being powered by a 3,880mAh Li-ion battery while the bigger S21+ is fuelled by a bigger 4,660mAh battery.

The catch is that these listings are not for the respective smartphones itself but it’s for their batteries as mentioned earlier and both the batteries are not going to be manufactured by Samsung as this time it’s being outsourced to China-based battery manufacturer Ningde Amperex Technology Limited.

Previous leaks have suggested that the next S lineup will be going to replace the Note series for once and all with the biggest S21 Ultra donning the S Pen and phasing out Note smartphones forever with just two flagship series S and foldable Z series in existence. Apart from the Ultra, there will be two more smartphones in the S lineup, the vanilla S21, and S21+ as usual and we already know how much battery they are going to pack.

Well, we have lots of time for the S21 but Samsung isn’t willing to sit empty as its also working on a cheaper S20 smartphone dubbed as S20 FE which is due to release in October and will be an affordable variant of this year’s S20+.
