OnePlus Open has the most satisfying foldable experience

Yes, it’s true, the newly launched OnePlus Open foldable smartphone is the lightest option available in the market weighing only 240 grams and with that, it has the most advanced hinge mechanism ever that makes it easy for even a novice to use the device. Unlike Samsung, OnePlus has used a minimal amount of components and used Titanium alloy to make the phone even lighter.

OnePlus Open will surely give you the smoothest foldable experience

As it is made with aerospace materials and carbon fibre, the body feels light yet is still very durable when you fold it, the hinge is pretty strong, holding up the display in any position you bend the foldable in, which is a great thing. This goes to show how good the hinge is despite the OnePlus Open being so light and premium-looking, interestingly, this one is “reliable folding” certified to 1,000,000 folds by TÜV Rheinland.

In a recent article, I wrote about why anyone should consider this OnePlus Open over other foldables, I did mention the invisible crease this one has. I was indeed amazed to see no crease on a foldable finally in 2023! While still Samsung’s Z Fold 5 has a tad bit of crease visible always but this OnePlus Open looks like a seamless unit as a whole when unfolded.

Once you open the OnePlus Open, you can use it with one hand as well because of the lightweight design, which captures videos, photos, and selfies, with no issues at all. I would highly recommend people to visit OnePlus Experience stores to use this one in their own hands and only then you would love the lovely fold-and-unfold experience.

As you see the folding experience is pretty seamless and the hinge here absolutely loves being used all day long:

Though it was difficult to unfold using one hand but still due to the lightweight, I didn’t feel it was too heavy or experienced any difficulty in doing so as the weight balance has been done meticulously.

However, should you go for a pre-reserving one for yourself? Well, as per initial impressions, this new OnePlus Open has set a new ballpark in the foldable industry and for the price OnePlus wants to give you the best experience possible, so, fans who want a foldable that finally feels seamless and everyday usable, this one looks to be a nice choice.
