OLED monitors might finally establish themselves as a viable option in the PC market this year. By the end of 2023, OLED monitor shipments are forecast by TrendForce to increase 323% YoY. The company describes the current OLED monitor rise as “astronomical” and anticipates that shipments will double to one million devices or more in 2024, making it another successful year.
Samsung will reprtedly be entering into the OLED monitor industry in 2023.
According to the original press announcement, Samsung might perhaps surpass LG as the market leader in H2 2023 with a market share of 27%.
Dell might secure a 20% market share or higher and appears interested in becoming a well-known OLED monitor brand. In contrast, Asus and its affiliated companies will control 9% of the market in 2023. The remaining 15% of the market is supplied by other manufacturers including Acer, AOC, Philips, and Corsair.
PC users will enjoy a greater variety of screen sizes and forms in addition to the rapidly growing number of OLED display units supplied, predicts TrendForce. According to TrendForce, these recently released panels may have over 10% market share by 2024.
