Assassins Creed Red will launch in early 2024 and will come with new game mechanics

According to Insider Gaming, Assassins Creed Red is currently fully playable and will receive an official update in early 2024. According to reports, the Japan-set adventurer is presently scheduled for a Holiday 2024 release date, however a delay is probable considering Ubisoft’s recent habit of postponing several of its major titles.

We have heard that Assassin’s Creed Red will have a male Samurai as well as a female Shinobi as playable characters. The Samurai, according to Insider Gaming, is an African refugee who was taught the ways of the Creed and is thought to be modelled on the first African Samurai, Yasuke. The female is said to be far more agile than the Samurai, though more information is being withheld.

According to previous reports, Assassins Creed Red is set to feature destructible environments, including screen doors that can be slashed and broken. It has been mentioned that the Codename Red game will be the final installment to utilize the Origins formula.

Tom Henderson, a respected Ubisoft insider, has revealed that destructible settings will be merged with AC Red’s stealth gameplay, allowing players to sneak up on or ambush foes by, for example, cutting or breaking through particular doors. Henderson advises that this isn’t exactly Battlefield-style destruction, so don’t expect to be bursting through solid walls, but the environment sounds a lot more interactive this time around.

Ubisoft is currently developing not only Assassin’s Creed Red but also several other games in the franchise, including Assassin’s Creed Jade, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Assassin’s Creed Invictus, and a remake of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, which happens to be my personal favorite.
