The South Korean giant has good news for all you 4K monitor lovers because they have launched 4K monitor with FreeSync support and is very color accurate as well. The LG 32UN650-W 4K monitor is the one targetted towards professionals and gamers who do professional work as well because not all 4K monitors are meant for gaming.
This new 4K monitor supports HDR10 and features a 31.5-inch IPS display panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels. This is one of the most color-accurate displays ever, covering 95% DCI-P3 color gamut and support 1.07 billion colors. Having AMD FreeSync support is great as you can game without tearing on a color-accurate monitor sacrificing the refresh rates.
The 32UN650-W features a response time of 5 ms (GTG), a peak brightness of 350 nits along with a 1000:1 static contrast ratio. For professionals, LG has also given blue light filters as well to protect your eyes from long working hours but delivering good 4K experience will require a good flagship GPU, not to worry, AMD and NVIDIA will launch next month a heck lot of GPUs.
Also, having HDR10 support on a 10-bit panel gives you the flexibility to use the monitor for media consumption and even to play 4K games at HDR. The monitor uses DisplayPort 1.4 connectivity that gives enough bandwidth to even try overclocking the display panel to get more out of it although you still get HDMI ports as well.
The 4K monitor also comes with a swivel stand and a C-shape base while the height of the stand seems extendable as well. LG hasn’t announced the pricing of the 32UN650-W monitor, however, its product page is out and most probably it will be priced more like any professional monitor out there with high color accuracy, and on top of that this is a 4K IPS panel as well. Although LG did hint that the monitor will go on sale in the last week of this month.
