Manchester United have signed Sergio Reguilon on a loan deal from Tottenham to cover for their left-back position. Both left-backs at the club, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia are currently injured leaving Erik Ten Hag short of options to play in that position.
The transfer is a straight loan deal with no option to buy. Erik Ten Hag has confirmed that Reguilon is training with the first team and is expected to be available for their game this weekend. The Spaniard has a great chance to get his career back on track, with a transfer to Old Trafford now complete.

United had Marc Cucurella of Chelsea on their list as well, but the move fell through after the former Brighton man started Chelsea’s EFL Cup clash against AFC Wimbledon. The Red Devils proposed a £2 million loan fee to the Blues, but were unable to convince them and now the move has completely fallen through.
Sergio Reguilon’s career has fallen off track since his impressive spell for Sevilla. He made a permanent transfer to Tottenham, but could not hold down a regular spot under Antonio Conte last season.
After a number of errors and the arrival of Destiny Udogie from Udinese, he fell further down the pecking order. The left-back will now feature in red under Ten Hag and has a great chance to get his career back on track.
