The 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 and the 55-inch Odyssey ARK are two more enormous monitors that will soon join Samsung’s array of large screens, including what the firm claims is the world’s first dual UHD (DUHD) gaming monitor.

The new 57-inch Odyssey, model number G95NC, has a gigantic 7,680 x 2,160 resolution, which is equivalent to having two 32-inch 4K displays side by side.

The monitor has the same specifications as the 49-inch model, including a 1,000R curve on its matte display and a scorching 240Hz refresh rate. It is powered by Samsung’s Quantum Matrix technology, which allows for smaller, more discrete dimming zones. According to Samsung, the outcome is increased contrast and less blooming.

The Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 57-inch is also Vesa DisplayHDR 1000 certified, with a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, a GtG reaction time of 1ms, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro.

It also has Core Lighting+ and CoreSync capabilities, as well as Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes. The monitor has DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and a USB hub. Not surprisingly, the new Odyssey Neo G9 is expensive: $2,499.99. It will be available for pre-order at Gamescom 2023 and will be released in the United States in October.

The enhanced 55-inch Odyssey Ark monitor is the company’s second announcement. There doesn’t appear to be much change here; the 165Hz refresh rate, 1,000R curve, and 3,840 x 2,160 resolution all remain, as does the option to rotate the screen into portrait mode.

According to Samsung, one of the new model’s features is Samsung Multi View, which allows users to see four inputs on the screen at the same time. It also appears to improve split-screen capabilities greatly. A KVM switch is also included in the new Ark model, which is always a helpful feature in a monitor. The price has not been stated, but the original Ark had a startling $3,500 MSRP.

In September, the Odyssey Ark 2023 will be available for pre-order. It will be available in the United States in October.
