iQoo 5 and iQoo 5 Pro launched with 120Hz display, 120W fast charging and periscopic camera at $576

After all the leaks and renders surfacing on the internet iQOO has finally released the iQOO 5 series smartphones – iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro. Both the devices have almost the same specifications but both the devices have their own minute uniqueness. There is a difference between the price range of both the smartphones and now let’s talk about the distinguishing factors between them.

The iQOO 5 Pro has a one periscopic lens within the triple rear camera setup at the back, while it will also feature the 120W fast wired charging unlike the iQOO 5 vanilla version. The iQOO 5 Pro model is solely collaborated with BMW and it can be seen with a back finishes in carbon black and white leather with BMW’s blue and red accents colors.

Both the phones – iQOO 5 and iQOO 5 Pro features a 6.56-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,376 pixels) AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The phones will feature Snapdragon 865 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Both of them will run on iQoo UI 1.5 based Android 10 OS.

Now coming to the camera portion of iQOO 5 and 5 Pro, we get to see a triple-rear camera setup at the back. The primary camera is 50MP in both the devices which has the same algorithms used in Vivo X50 Pro Plus. The iQOO 5 will have an additional 13MP wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture, and a 13MP third sensor with f/2.4 aperture. While the iQOO 5 Pro has an additional 13MP wide-angle camera and a third 8MP telescope sensor with f/3.4 aperture. The iQOO 5 pro camera supports OIS, 60X Digital zoom and 5X optical zoom. Af the front both the phone houses a 16MP camera in the punch-hole cut.

iQOO 5 is powered with a 4,000mAh battery with a 55W fast wired charging support and the iQOO 5 Pro includes a 4,500mAh battery with a 120W fast wired charging. Both the phones have an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual stereo speakers, USB Type-C, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, NFC, GPS, and others.

Price and Availability

The iQoo 5 is priced at CNY 3,998 (approx Rs.43,100) for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model, CNY 4,298 (approx Rs.46,300) for the 12GB RAM + 128GB storage model, and CNY 4,598 (approx Rs.49,600) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. This model comes in Star Trace and Hao Ying colour options.

iQoo 5 Pro is priced in China at CNY 4,998 (approx Rs.53,900) for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model and CNY 5,498 (approx Rs.59,300) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model. This model comes in Track Version and Legendary Edition colour options.

The official sale will start from August 24 in China and the phones are already up for pre-orders.
