He will join Sadio Mane, Marcelo Brozovic, Seko Fofana and Alex Telles as the players to have joined them from Europe. The 28-year-old can play as an attacking midfielder or right winger and could support the front three of Talisca, Ronaldo and Mane or take one of their places in the lineup.
Otavio signs for Al Nassr as record sale for Porto
Otavio has made 283 appearances for Porto since joining them in 2014, scoring 31 goals and providing 75 assists during his time with them. He spent half a season on loan at Guimaraes before returning to the club in the summer of 2016 and then becoming a part of the first team.
The midfielder has not been called up to Porto’s squad for their latest game, since he is set to join the Saudi Arabian club. His arrival will reinforce the Arab Club Championship Cup winners and give them a better chance of competing in the Saudi Pro League.
Al Nassr could yet wrap up more transfers, with Aymeric Laporte and Arturo Vidal on their radar. With rivals Al Hilal reinforcing their squad with Neymar and Aleksandar Mitrovic, they could be set for more transfers till the end of the window.
