Full Form of ITI: Here’s everything to know about ITI

Full Form of ITI: ITI is an abbreviation for Industrial Training Institute. It is also referred to as ITI’s. It offers technical training in both engineering and non-engineering sectors. It is a post-secondary institution in India that is run by the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET) of the Ministry of Labour and Employment Union of the Government of India.

It teaches electrical, mechanical, computer hardware, refrigeration and air conditioning, carpentry, plumbing, welding, fitting, and other skills. These institutes are specifically designed to provide technical information to students who have just completed the 10th grade and want to get some technical knowledge instead of pursuing further education.

The goal of establishing ITIs was to give technical personnel to the rapidly expanding industrial sector. The courses offered by ITIs are intended to teach the skills of a trade. After successfully completing the degree, students are obliged to complete one or two years of practical training in their trade in an industry.

The National Council of Vocational Training (NVCT) certificate requires practical training in an industry. ITIs are government-run training organisations that operate in major cities throughout India, including Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat, Assam, Kerala, and Madhya Pradesh.

Full Form of ITI – Qualifications for joining ITI

  1. Candidates must have completed their education up to the 10th standard from a recognized board or any other qualification equivalent to the 10th standard.
  2. A minimum aggregate score of 35% is required for eligibility.
  3. Candidates should be within the age range of 14 to 40 years at the time of admission.
