Tecno introduced the Tecno Pova 5 and Tecno Pova 5 Pro in India on August 11, revealing both phones’ pricing and availability in the country. These models follow the Tecno Pova 4 lineup, which debuted in December of the previous year and featured MediaTek Helio G99 SoCs along with robust 6,000mAh batteries. The standard Tecno Pova 5 is also propelled by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, whereas the Tecno Pova 5 Pro features an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 SoC.

In terms of pricing and availability, Tecno has confirmed that the Tecno Pova 5 will have a starting price of ₹11,999 in India. On the other hand, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro will be priced at ₹14,999. Both phones are scheduled to go on sale from August 22 through Amazon. The company also mentioned that customers can receive an ₹1,000 discount by exchanging their old devices. Additionally, buyers of the Tecno Pova 5 series can opt for a no-cost EMI option for up to 6 months.

Color-wise, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro will be available in Dark Illusions and Silver Fantasy, while the base Tecno Pova 5 will offer color choices of Amber Gold, Hurricane Blue, and Mecha Black.

Both the Tecno Pova 5 and Tecno Pova 5 Pro from the Pova 5 series come with 6.78-inch full-HD+ displays featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The standard Pova 5, like its predecessor, runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, whereas the Tecno Pova 5 Pro is equipped with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6080 chipset. Both models operate with the Android 13-based HiOS skin.

For camera capabilities, the dual rear camera setups of both the base and Pro models of the Pova 5 series include a 50-megapixel primary sensor accompanied by an AI lens and an LED Flash unit. The standard model boasts an 8-megapixel front camera sensor, while the Tecno Pova 5 Pro features a 16-megapixel selfie sensor.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB Type-C, and NFC, alongside a 3.5mm audio jack. The Tecno Pova 5 Pro offers 5G connectivity and showcases an Arc interface on the back panel, featuring customizable LED lights. Both models integrate side-mounted fingerprint sensors for security.

With a hefty 6,000mAh battery, the Tecno Pova 5 supports 45W fast charging. Conversely, the Tecno Pova 5 Pro comes equipped with a 5,000mAh battery and boasts a segment-leading 68W fast charging capability.
