On June 27, Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Ayan Chakraborti unveiled the captivating poster of “Nikhonj,” an upcoming Hoichoi web series set to release in August. Joining them in this intriguing series are talented actors such as Koneenica Banerjee, Saoli Chatterjee, Lokenath De, and more. Adding depth and emotion to the series is the soul-stirring music composed by Rupam Islam. 

In “Nikhonj,” Swastika Mukherjee takes on the role of DCP Lalbazar Brinda Basu, a determined and tenacious police officer. Following the poster release, Swastika expressed her admiration for the script, which captivated her from the start. Notably, Swastika and Tota previously collaborated in the 2008 film “90 Ghonta.” Swastika eagerly anticipated working with Tota and the rest of the team, praising their dedication and talent. Tota, in turn, marveled at Swastika’s transformative abilities, observing how she effortlessly becomes a different person when the director calls for action. He also commended Koneenica, who portrays a pivotal character in the series, recognizing her outstanding performance. 

Director Ayan Chakrabarti emphasized that “Nikhonj” is not merely a thriller but an exploration of human relationships. At its core, the story revolves around a bereaved mother who tragically loses her daughter, becoming the driving force behind the narrative. Ayan shared anecdotes from the intense shooting schedule that took place during the scorching heat of summer, humorously remarking that he felt like he was boiling throughout the process. 

The storyline of “Nikhonj” revolves around a missing diary, sparking intrigue and speculation. When a female employee suddenly disappears from her workplace, it creates a buzz, placing actor Tota Roychoudhury among the prime suspects. As the plot unravels, secrets are exposed, leading to a web of mystery and suspense.
