Bastar, Creators of The Kerala Story Reveal Their Latest Masterpiece, Inspired by an Unforgettable Real-Life Event. The director Sudipto Sen and producer Vipul Shah the duo who were behind the successful movie The Kerela Story has made an announcement regarding their new project.

On Monday, the makers of the movie made the announcement regarding their next project. According to the makers the movie Bastar is based on a true incident. The makers have also disclosed the release date of the movie Bastar. It is going to release on the big screen on 5th April 2024.

Shah’s Sunshine Pictures, the banner behind the upcoming movie, shared the announcement on its Twitter page regarding the new movie named Bastar. The production house has said in the tweet, “Unveiling our next, #Bastar. Prepare to witness another gripping true incident that will leave you speechless. Mark your calendars for April 5, 2024! #VipulAmrutlalShah @sudiptoSENtlm @Aashin_A_Shah #SunshinePictures”.

The movie The Kerela Story is starring Adah Sharma, who is playing the character of a Hindu in the movie who belongs to a Hindu family and was then converted to Islam as one of her classmates lures her in.

The movie, which emerged as one of the most successful films at the box office with over Rs 200 crore in reported earnings, was banned by the West Bengal government, fearing tensions among communities. Theatres in Tamil Nadu had decided to stop the screening, citing the law and order situation and a poor audience turnout. It also received tax-free status in BJP-ruled states such as Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Haryana.
