Kylian Mbappe transfer news: The France superstar is at the centre of another developing transfer saga this summer, having informed PSG that he will not be exercising the option to extend his contract until June 2025. The two-year renewal that the player signed last summer is set to run out in June 2024, which means he will be able to leave if he is still at the club.
However, PSG are determined to not let him leave on a free transfer. The club is quite shocked and angry at the way that he has informed them of their decision, as the matter was supposed to be sorted out internally.
They have now decided to put the forward up for sale, with bids from all clubs to be entertained.

In an official statement, PSG have confirmed that Mbappe will stay at the club for the 23/24 season. “Following very constructive, positive talks between PSG and Kylian Mbappé before game vs Lorient, the player has been reinstated into first team training squad this morning”, it read.
The club has held positive talks with the player and is discussing a contract with an exit clause which will be valid next summer. In all likelihood, this will facilitate a transfer to Real Madrid next summer and will allow the player to make the move with PSG earning a considerable sum.
Mbappe will not negotiate with Al Hilal in spite of €700m offer
The Frenchman was offered a €700 million salary in total by Al Hilal to move to Saudi Arabia. PSG also accepted a €300 million bid from the club, but the player is not willing to negotiate with them at this stage.
He wants to stay in Europe, and maintains that he wants to stay at PSG even though they want to sell him. PSG believe that he has an agreement with Real Madrid to join them next summer for free. And it now remains to be seen whether any other club will show up to sign the forward at this stage.
