The Galaxy S20 FE, the first phone in Samsung‘s Galaxy S Fan Edition range, was released in 2020. The Galaxy S21 FE was next released. The S22 FE was supposed to be introduced by the South Korean phone manufacturer last year, but it never did. The Galaxy S23 Fan Edition has, however, been the subject of numerous leaks and rumors ever since the Galaxy S23 series was introduced in February of this year.
Will Samsung introduce the Galaxy S23 FE?
The Galaxy S23 FE will reportedly be introduced between October and December, according to a Korean publication called SisaJournal, despite recent predictions by renowned leaker Roland Quandt that it won’t. The Galaxy S23 FE is in development and may be released in the final quarter of the year, according to reports published earlier this month by the Korean business news site Maeil and SamMobile.
Samsung Galaxy S23 FE Specs and Design
Looking at Samsung’s previous Fan Edition devices, it won’t come as a surprise if the Galaxy S23 FE brings inspiration from the recently released Galaxy S23. The phone could deviate slightly from the recent Galaxy S series handsets’ design language, albeit there is no information yet.
In terms of specs, some sources indicate that the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset would power the Galaxy S23 FE, but others claim that Samsung may choose to stick with the infamous Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which has a history of heating and performance problems.
While the Exynos 2200 processor, which powers the European Galaxy S22 series models, is said to be in the upcoming phone, SamMobile and Maeil made the opposite claim. SamMobile claims that in addition to offering up to 256GB of storage and a 4,500mAh battery, the new versions may also have a 50MP main camera sensor as opposed to the 12MP one featured on the older devices.
