Newcastle United keen on Khephren Thuram transfer in summer 2023

Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Khephren Thuram, the brother of Marcus Thuram and son of World Cup winner Lillian Thuram. The Nice defensive midfielder has attracted a lot of attention due to his performances this season, with clubs from the Premier League looking to sign him.

He recently made his debut for the France national team, which further boosted the competition for his signature. He has been identified as a potential partner for Bruno Guimaraes, which would allow the Brazilian to have more freedom while Thuram provides defensive cover.

The 21-year-old is known for being able to reclaim possession and change the course of play. He also has the ability to think offensively, registering eight assists and scoring two goals across all competitions this season.

It now remains to be seen whether the Magpies will come up with a concrete offer for him this summer. They have also been linked with Marcus Thuram, who is expected to leave Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer. But, an agreement with either player has not been reached yet.

Khephren Thuram fits into the long-term project that is being built at the club, being a young and talented player. And he could have a great step up in England, if Newcastle can strike a deal.
