The finals of the Hero Super Cup have been decided, following Odisha FC‘s 3-1 win over NorthEast United. Odisha will play Bengaluru FC in the finals of the competition, for a shot at silverware.

But, Bengaluru FC will be eager to avenge their loss against ATK Mohun Bagan in the finals of the ISL. And it will be no easy feat to defeat them as they look to finish the season on a high.

NorthEast United looked like they were in for another surprise result when they took the lead in the semi-final. But, their early optimism was ended by Nandhakumar as he got on the end of a cross from Jerry to equalise for his side.

Early on in the second half, Nandhakumar put pressure on the NorthEast defence consistently. And he was then able to break through with a powerful strike into the roof of the net. This was followed by Diego Mauricio finding the back of the net from the edge of the box to make it 3-1.

NorthEast United have produced a series of brilliant performances in the tournament. But their journey has been ended by Odisha FC in the last four. The Juggernauts will face Bengaluru FC in the finals of the tournament on April 25.
