Chelsea aren’t having a good time at present, and it seems like good time won’t come anytime soon, as the club footballers are set to expereince a huge pay cut for the next season. Also, in terms of performance also, Frank Lampard’s team isn’t doing well, and even the arrival of the club’s all-time top goal scorer hasn’t made out any favorable way. Their recent defeat against the La Liga giants, Real Madrid was the fourth defeat in a row and things have gone a little bit out of hand from Chelsea.
Didier Drogba in this regard
Club legend Didier Drogba has stated that he doesn’t recognise the team anymore and further stated that a damning indictment is coming from someone who has played with Lampard and must have a decent relationship with the interim boss.
Tough phase for Chelsea
Indeed Chelsea is having a tough phase, in terms of both finance and performance. Their elimination from the European league signifies that the final seven games of the Premier League season are pretty much only there for the west London club to not suffer more embarrassment. They currently sit in 11th place in the league table, however, Crystal Palace along with Wolverhampton Wanderers and even in form Bournemouth will certainly look up at the possibility to overtake the Stamford Bridge side.
Upcoming Fixtures
Chelsea has its upcoming match in the Premier League against Brentford. Not to expect much in the match, but the club will definitely look forward to give a good fight and even win the game, and fix their losing streak. And who would not like to have some light of joy in a tough phase when you’re suffering through both of your work and money! On the other hand, it is to be seen how Brentford responds.
