Top 5 Smartphone Brands’ Market Share in Q1 2023: Samsung and Apple Lead the Pack while Xiaomi Sees Decrease

According to the latest report by Canalys, the top five smartphone brands globally and their market share in Q1 2023 are as follows:

  • Samsung – 22% (2% decrease)
  • Apple – 21% (3% increase)
  • Xiaomi – 11% (2% decrease)
  • Oppo – 10% (1% increase)
  • Vivo – 8% (Same)

Samsung has remained the market leader with a 22% market share, although it has seen a 2% decrease in its share since the last quarter.

Samsung has always been known for its high-end smartphones, and the recent launch of its Galaxy S23 and S23+ series has been received positively in the market. However, the fierce competition from Apple has caused Samsung to lose some of its market shares.
