Leicester City are in talks with Jesse Marsch to become the new head coach of the first team. The Foxes recently parted ways with Brendan Rodgers, who was in charge for four years. A poor run of form throughout the season forced the board to pull the trigger and make the decision, and they are now looking for replacements.
Marsch has been out of a job since leaving Leeds United earlier this season. He is currently seen as the favourite to take over by the board. But, no agreement is in place between the two parties as of yet.
Jesse Marsch in talks to become new Leeds United manager
The American was in charge of Leeds United for a year, and helped them survive the drop after Marcelo Bielsa was sacked. He wasn’t unable to keep his job this season, as the board feared that they would be relegated.
Jesse Marsch was also in talks with Southampton after Ralph Hassenhuttl was relieved of his duties. But, a move to St Mary’s Park did not go through for him. Now, he could be appointed as the new Leicester City manager by the weekend.
After back to back fifth placed finishes, Leicester City are currently battling relegation. Several Red Bull group coaches were considered for the role including Hassenhuttl and Oscar Garcia. But, Marsch seems to be the most likely to take over and try to help them survive the drop.
