Barcelona youngster Estanis Pedrola has been regularly called up to the senior team by Xavi Hernandez, including against Real Madrid for El Clasico last night. The youngster has only made one senior appearance, which was last January.
While he hasn’t played for the first team since, he has attracted a lot of praise for his performances with the youth team. The youngster can play as a left-winger, and has shown great dribbling and finishing skills with the youth team.
Estanis Pedrola being monitored by clubs across Europe
The 19-year-old has scored seven times in 15 appearances for the youth team, while only making the starting eleven 43% of the time.
He is reportedly very happy with the opportunities he is getting with the first team, even though he isn’t being played. The youngster has a contract with the club until 2026, and is attracting interest from several European clubs over a transfer.
However, an opportunity with the first team looks likely for Estanis Pedrola, especially considering Barcelona’s lack of options out wide. Pedrola could soon be another La Masia graduate that breaks into the first team, given the way he has been performing.
However, the competition is stiff and he will need to convince Xavi that he has what it takes to really perform at the top level.
