Next-gen Foldable Phones by Samsung will be Made in India

As U.S. trade restrictions on China increase, Samsung Electronics focuses on India as a prospective manufacturing base for various goods, including semiconductors and smartphones. Several inexpensive and mid-range smartphones have already been produced by an Indian manufacturer.

A recent rumour claims that Samsung will consider creating its next-gen foldable phones in India, which might result in the Korean technology giant becoming even more dependent on its facilities there.

India Is All Set To Manufacture Samsungs Next Gen Foldable Phones Next-gen Foldable Phones by Samsung will be Made in India

With the launch of the Galaxy S23 model, Samsung has already made significant progress towards producing high-end smartphones for Indian consumers. The company claims that Samsung produces the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, as well as Galaxy S23 Ultra editions that are marketed in India.

Besides that, experts from the Samsung R&D Center in Noida, where several features for the Galaxy S23 series were designed, also worked on some of the most recent updates to One UI, so making Foldable Phones viable enough for usage.

India To Manufacture Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 Foldable Phones

According to a recent report, Samsung plans to invest significantly in the nation to establish a new production centre for its next-gen foldable phones.

If Samsung chooses to go forward with this idea, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 5 may be produced and manufactured in India. It is indeed questionable, though, if Samsung would choose to produce all of its foldable devices for the entire Indian marketplace or if the business would follow the same approach as it achieved with the Samsung S23 model, i.e., produce regionally and market locally.
