Cristiano Ronaldo has scored his 500th league goal in Al-Nassr’s 4-0 win against Al-Wehda in the Saudi league. The captain scored all four goals in the game, and took home the match ball.
The now 38-year-old scored twice in each half to help his side to a comfortable win. He now has 503 career league goals, playing for five different clubs across the same number of leagues. He has featured for Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus apart from Al-Nassr.

Although he had a difficult start to life at his new club, the Portugal captain has now shown exactly why he was signed. His instinct in front of goal has not diminished, as shown by the three well-taken finishes from open play, and a penalty to complete his hat-trick.
With his 61st career hat-trick, Cristiano Ronaldo now has five goals for Al-Nassr. And the way things stand, a return to Europe could be on the cards if he continues to score regularly.
As things stand, he is an ambassador for football in Saudi Arabia and is expected to stay at the club for the foreseeable future. This, however, has attracted accusations of sportswashing for Saudi Arabia. In other words, an attempt to improve their image which has been tarnished by a violation of human rights.
