Juventus have no plans of terminating Paul Pogba‘s contract as things stand. The midfielder is yet to play a single minute of football for the Italian club, having been injured since the start of the season.

Setbacks have prevented Pogba from reaching full fitness and being available to play competitively. Although we are halfway through the season, there seem to be no signs of him returning anytime soon. The Frenchman returned to training recently, but another setback prevented him from being included in the squad.

Paul Pogba to continue with Juventus in spite of injury crisis

Juventus head coach Max Allegri also expressed his frustration at not having Paul Pogba in the team recently:

“Sorry because we thought we had Paul at our disposal and instead it is not so,” he said.

“Unfortunately, these are things that happen when a player has been idle for six months, almost nine.

“It takes a little patience, he is working well to try to get back as soon as possible, but this momentarily is not possible.”

There is a chance that the player could be ruled out until the summer as well, considering the number of setbacks in his injury record. And at that point, it would be something that Juventus have to address given that they are in a difficult situation themselves.

The Bianconeri had 15 points deducted for false accounting, and could miss out on Champions League football next season.
