According to reports, Israeli startup cloud orchestration company Cloudify is being purchased by Dell Technologies for an estimated $100 million. According to rumors, Dell spent nearly $100 million to acquire the startup in order to expand its cloud services division, particularly its DevOps products.

While the Boomi integration platform and the cloud and virtualization behemoth VMware were axed in 2021, Quest Software, which had encompassed the assets of pre-Dell Quest Software and SonicWall, was sold in 2016. TechCrunch quotes a corporate representative as saying that Dell Technologies “has concluded the acquisition of Cloudify.” The statement said, “This deal enables Dell to innovate our edge offerings.
In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Dell stated that it would be issuing Class C common stock “in respect of certain outstanding and unvested options to acquire the ordinary shares of Cloudify Platform Ltd., a private limited business based in Israel.” A ground-breaking approach known as Cloudify, an open-source multi-cloud orchestration platform, fuses preexisting infrastructure, automation tools, and networking into trusted blueprints.
The environment-as-a-service offered by Cloudify combines networking, infrastructure, and automated tools into certified blueprints that, according to the company, allow its clients to organize heterogeneous cloud services at scale and help close the gap between ITSM (IT service management) and DevOps.
Additionally, Dell has developed its own Apex-as-a-Service range of managed infrastructure services, which includes servers, storage, networking, and more. During the previous year, the company added particular multi-cloud capabilities, such as data services to offer file, block, object, and data security services across all significant public clouds, and it has since added more capabilities.
