Rayo Vallecano left-back Fran Garcia could rejoin Real Madrid in the coming days. He was once part of their academy, but left the club in 2020 in search of first team opportunities.
At the time, the Spanish giants had agreed a sell-on clause worth 50%. And as a result, they will be able to sign him for a fee as low as €5 million. The player is keen on a return to Santiago Bernabeu in the coming days, and it could happen if the two parties can reach an agreement soon.
Fran Garcia nearing Real Madrid return soon
At the time, his academy club wanted to sign him and loan him back to Rayo. But, it was not possible due to the restrictions in place in Spain. As a result, a verbal agreement could be in place between the two parties very soon for a move in the summer.
Bayer Leverkusen and Inter Milan have registered their interest in the player as well. But, he is prioritising a return to the Bernabeu above all else.
Last season, Fran Garcia told AS: “My dream would be to return, I wish I could have that opportunity. But right now I have to focus on my current team. I will give everything on the field as I’ve done before.”
Ferland Mendy has been linked with an exit from the club for a while. And now, it seems like Garcia could be the man to replace him at left-back from next season.
