An unusual thing has been spotted in the desktop CPU market is that in the entry-level AMD Ryzen 3 3200G processor boxes, a more powerful Ryzen 5 3600 CPU has been found. This very surprising to see Ryzen 3000 CPUs getting shipped in a Picasso based APU packaging, and this is not just one case but has occurred for an entire batch of Ryzen 5 3600 CPUs.
As reported by Hardware Times, a user on Facebook shared such weird experience, also the strange thing to notice is that both the serial number and the final seal on the box were replaced with correct one stating it to be a 6 core, 12 threaded Ryzen 5 3600 CPU.
It is speculated that this might have happened as a result of the high demand of the Ryzen 5 3600 CPUs due to the Chinese mid-year sale in June. So, it might have happened that due to shortage of boxes, the Ryzen 5 3600 processors were shipped in the Ryzen 3 3200G boxes to meet the demand somehow, this is obvious as the Ryzen 5 3600 is the best selling CPU globally now.
So, if you have thought of purchasing a Ryzen 5 3600 at the price of the Ryzen 3 3200G then you are mistaken because AMD China team is smart enough to keep the pricing of the original Ryzen 5 3600 as we see in the seal. This is rare thing you could have ever imagined…🤣
