Not many people would have predicted that Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s AC Milan could beat Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus. Juventus were 7 points clear of second-placed Lazio at the top of the Serie A table. Lazio was also defeated by Milan in the last round which helped Juventus to extend their lead.

Juventus were leading 2-0 shortly after the half-time break as Ronaldo scored his 26th Serie A goal of this season. Everyone thought the Old Lady has secured the 3 points. But Milan had other ideas in their heads. They completely turned the game around in just 5 minutes starting from the 62nd minute.

AC Milan were offered a penalty in the 62nd minute and Ibrahimovic stepped up to take the penalty.

Cristiano Ronald, who was standing just outside the penalty box, tried to unnerve the Swedish. He shouted to Juventus goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny in an attempt to put Zlatan off.

Ronaldo said, as reported by DAZN: “Tek, you know him [Ibrahimovic].”

Ibrahimovic is much calmer to not get affected by Ronaldo’s move. He coolly sent Szczesny the wrong way and scored the goal.

After scoring, he turned to Ronaldo and gave him a wicked smile. Both the legends of the game found the incident funny and took that moment sportingly.

Four minutes later, Franck Kessie equalised for the home side to make it 2-2. Then within a few seconds, Rafael Leao completed a sensational five-minute turnaround and made it 3-2.

Ante Rebic added a fourth to add some more icing on the cake and secure a memorable victory with 10 minutes remaining. AC Milan beat Juventus by 4-2 in a way no one would have predicted.

Ibrahimovic said after the win: “If I was here from the beginning of the season, we would have won the Scudetto. I am president, coach and player, but they only pay me as a footballer.”

Despite the loss, Juventus are still very much on their way to win a record ninth straight Serie A title.
