Xiaomi Mini Host ‘Mini PC’ Pictures leak Online

Xiaomi is a well-known name in the mobility market, with a slew of well-known smartphones and laptops under its Mi brand, but the firm is aiming to launch its first desktop PC, the Host, with a compact form factor ‘Mini PC’ design.

In addition to the Xiaomi Mini Host, the OEM will provide another SFF form factor design. This design will resemble a NUC and will include the AMD Ryzen 7 6800H APU with a Radeon 680M iGPU, 16 GB memory, a 512 GB SSD, and a price of 3999 RMB or $570 US.

The Xiaomi Host Mini PC was meant to be unveiled yesterday, but the Mi 13 series launch event was postponed for unclear reasons. Regardless, we did get a quick glimpse at the Host Mini PC thanks to a leak on Weibo, which displays a very small PC chassis with a brand new design.

The PC Chassis is a barebones kit with no internal hardware other than the PSU, which is confirmed to be an XM22AL5X unit with a 100W power rating. Based on the nameplate, this is a very SFF and portable design that appears to be custom-made. The chassis may allow users to change the power supply because it includes at least two slots for dGPU installation, however these would be low-profile and half-height designs due to the case’s restricted space.

The exterior of the Xiaomi Host Mini PC is matte black with hexagonal designs.

The sides and front do not have any ventilation, although it is probable that there will be some breathing space available on the top and bottom of the chassis. There is space on the back for two 80 or 90-mm fans. There’s also a motherboard I/O plate cut-out that can accommodate a Mini-ITX motherboard.

The mechanical key on the back of the case, which may be utilised with the key cap included with the package, is the most intriguing feature of this case. When users press the Win+M combination, a specific function on the PC is activated. On Windows 11, this would result in all of your windows being minimised, however it could serve a different purpose on this specific PC. We don’t know the specifications yet, but Xiaomi has historically used Intel hardware in their PCs, and the Host Mini PC may follow suit.
