Brazil started their 2022 World Cup with a 2-0 win against Serbia, as Richarlison scored a brace in the opening game. The Tottenham Hotspur forward was played as the centre-forward by Tite, and he delivered strongly.
The second goal scored by Richarlison is an early contender for goal of the tournament. The 25-year-old was allowed a lot of space by the central defenders, and he scored an acrobatic overhead kick to double the advantage.

The first goal saw Richarlison pounce on a rebound shot, originally struck by Vinicius Jr. Casemiro had several attempts on goal, and was denied another world-class long range goal by the crossbar, even though it had beaten the goalkeeper.
Serbia struggled to test Brazil’s defense, with no shots on target and barely any attacking threat throughout the game. The record champions, on the other hand, showcased exactly why they are the most beloved footballing country in the world in their win.
Neymar suffered an ankle injury, which forced him off the pitch. But, he will be available for the rest of the games, as confirmed by the manager.
Brazil are now at the top of their group, while Serbia are at the bottom and will find qualification quite difficult from this position.
