eFootball 2023 Season 2: “The Football Festival” is launching on 17th November 2022 with the v2.2.0 update

Konami has completely revolutionized their Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) video game and has come up with eFootball for both their mobile and PC/PlayStation/Xbox games. Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) from the house of Konami is the closest competitor of the famous FIFA game by EA Sports.

As the new football season has already started and the summer transfer window closed, Konami is now planning to bring updates from the new football season in November 2022 v2.2.0 update. Its rival EA Sports has already released its new game for this season FIFA 23 last month. So, Konami is looking to bring the update by this month only. Konami is performing large-scale maintenance during 14/11/2022 – 17/11/2022 to undergo the in-game asset and other data carryover process.

Konami also announced that all users that created a game account by 14/11/2022 01:59 (UTC) will receive 300 eFootball Coins, as a token of apology. Trial Matches will still be available during the large-scale maintenance.

They have now announced that the theme for the Season 2 of eFootball 2023 will be “The Football Festival“. The new season will kick start on 17th November 2022.

Throughout the Season, we will be holding a wide variety of National Team Events in-game 🎮

"Trial Match" will be available during the maintenance period between 14th and 17th, however, you will have access to 40 National Teams in Trial Match starting from 16th

Konami said: “We will be releasing the v2.2.0 update on 16th November. Season 2: “The Football Festival” will kick-off on 17/11/2022 (After maintenance ends).”

“Throughout the Season, we will be holding a wide variety of National Team Events in-game.”

“Trial Match” will be available during the maintenance period between 14th and 17th, however, you will have access to 40 National Teams in Trial Match starting from 16th.”

Some of the new limited-time features coming to the game:

Play Special National Team Matches for a limited time

  • National Teams Selectable in Trial Match – 40 National Teams from around the world will be available in Trial Match.
  • The Battle for Ultimate National Glory – “The International Cup Experience” is a vs AI tournament Event in which users take on the pitch using 1 of 46 available national teams.
  • Limited-time Events in Dream Team – Every week, there will be National Team-themed Tour Events and Challenge Events.
  • Nation-based Competition for All Users – The big event “eFootball International Cup” is now underway with a total prize pool of 1 billion eFootball coins to be split amongst users.

Heroes of the Nations

  • National Selection – On Mondays, sensational talent from National Teams will be introduced with a distinctive theme.
  • POTW: International Cup – On Thursdays, standout players in international fixtures will be introduced and powered-up to reflect their remarkable performance.
  • “Big Time”: Brand-new Epic Player Cards – Every Thursday, some of the best footballers from past and present will have their standout season recreated as Epic players.
  • National Team Pack – Konami has introduced a series of 11-player sets with original card designs.

Bolster Your Team with “Match Pass”

Match Pass is an in-game reward system in which you can earn a wide variety of rewards by completing the indicated number of matches. From Nominating Contracts to Training Programs and many more; these in-game items will surely come in handy in times of player signing and progression. Regular Match Pass is available to all users for free.
