Amazon’s grocery market is widely popular in India and handy as it provides fast delivery of household products at cheap price points. So, it is expanding its own supermarket Amazon Pantry in over 300 cities in India.

The program started as an aviator in Hyderabad back in 2016 and got launched in 110 cities last year. With this expansion, new includes cities include Allahabad, Amreli, Bareilly, Betul, Bhopal, Bundi, Bhandara, Churu, Deogarh, Gonda, Jammu, Jhansi, Kathua, Kozhikode, Malda, Moradabad, Nainital, Pathankot, Rajkot, Shimla, Udaipur, Varanasi, along with others.

Amazon Pantry already promises you up to 35% savings on monthly groceries and you can shop over 3,000 products from over 200 brands throughout the service. Customers in cities like Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Pune even have the option to schedule their Pantry deliveries as well.

Amazon has the brains to expand its grocery service at the best time possible because more and more these days prefer to stay at home and order products right at their home.

Not only Amazon, but also major companies such as Swiggy, Zomato, and Reliance have shown interest in starting supermarket solutions beneath the pandemic situation. Notably, Swiggy recently enlarged its supermarket support in 125 cities, while JioMart resides in over 200 cities.

“Amazon Pantry has become popular with customers as it fulfils their grocery demands and gives them great savings. With this expansion, customers in more than 300 cities & towns can get access to safe doorstep delivery of grocery essentials,” said Saurabh Srivastava, Director – Category Management, Amazon India.

Like its e-commerce division, Amazon Pantry had to scale down its operations when the initial coronavirus wave began to affect the country. The company, however, has been able to restart its operations in India as the government relaxed its guidelines. You can access Amazon Pantry service right through Amazon India’s website or app readily with a minimum purchase option of Rs. 200 and a minimum purchase of Rs. 799 to avail free delivery.
