Indian ed-tech company BYJU’S has signed Lionel Messi as their Global Ambassador under their social impact arm “Education For All”. Messi is arguably the greatest footballer on the planet and he has a massive fan following. Football has roughly 3.5 billion fans worldwide, and Lionel Messi has a social media following of nearly 450 million, which will help BYJU’S to gain greater visibility and more engagement.
Earlier this year, BYJU’S also became the official sponsor of the FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. Now, they have roped in Messi as their Global Ambassador.
BYJU’S co-founder Divya Gokulnath said: ‘‘We are honoured and excited to collaborate with Lionel Messi as our global ambassador. The PSG star is hoping to win the World Cup 2022 with Argentina this time which will be his last World Cup.
The official statement said: ”The long-term engagement, which begins as Lionel Messi embarks on his final campaign to win the FIFA World Cup 2022 as captain of Argentina’s national football team, will see him feature in campaigns promoting BYJU’S Education For All.”
