Newcastle United have completed the signing of 19-year-old winger Amadou Diallo as they continue to build their future project. The move has been officially announced on their website.
He will be playing for the club’s second team, having featured in the game against Middlesbrough earlier in the month. The player was initially a part of the West Ham United academy, which he left at the end of the previous season. And he is now a part of a new and ambitious project with the Magpies.
Amadou Diallo signs for Newcastle United
“Firstly, I want to say thank you to the club for giving me an opportunity to become a Newcastle player. I’m very delighted to be here and will be looking forward to playing and helping the team,” Amadou Diallo told Newcastle United’s official site.
“From day one, the players and staff were good to me and helped me settle in quickly so that made everything else easier.
“I’m really looking forward to getting started to help the team and work hard to achieve our goals as a team for the season.”
The official length of his contract remains unknown, but the club statement confirmed that he will be playing for them for the remainder of the 22/23 season.
