The top 5 leagues in Europe are 5 trios where the world’s best footballers compete. It’s the peak of club football, and there is a tonne of outstanding clubs across the continent that have achieved amazing levels of success.
Every single elite European club strives to maintain a decent level of balance within their separate teams. Developing attackers who are all adept at scoring goals is not sufficient. Neither is adding more players who can do it. Teams require players who can work well together and bring out the best in one another.
Here is the list of five of the trios that have scored the maximum goals this season in the top 5 leagues in Europe:
Robert Lewandowski, Ousmane Dembele, and Ansu Fati: Barcelona – 16 goals
The depth of Barcelona’s attack is ridiculous. Excellent wingers like Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, Raphinha, and Ferran Torres, as well as center-forwards like Robert Lewandowski, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Memphis Depay, are available for them.
This summer, Lewandowski accepted a transfer to Camp Nou, and he has already made a strong impression on the team. When it comes to scoring goals, he carries the load at Barcelona and has done it 12 times in just 10 games this season across all competitions.
Xavi Hernandez’s team is particularly difficult to contain in the attacking third, and Dembele and Fati have each provided two.
Christopher Nkunku, Timo Werner, and Andre Silva: RB Leipzig – 19 goals
The 2022–23 Bundesliga season has not started well for RB Leipzig. With only 11 points from their first eight games, they are now eleventh in the standings. As of this season, Leipzig has the sixth-best attacking record in the German top division with 13 goals scored in the league.
They’ve also received 12 and it’s very evident that their frontline is not the issue (despite what they’ve also shipped in 12). In reality, players like Christopher Nkunku, Timo Werner, and Andre Silva have performed admirably thus far this term.
Nkunku has continued his strong play from last season, scoring nine goals so far this campaign in all competitions. Werner is relishing scoring goals once more following a miserable stint at Chelsea. He has a total of six. Silva, who has scored four goals so far, is also gradually regaining his form.
Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, and Sadio Mane: Bayern Munich – 22 goals
Bayern Munich has suffered the loss of Robert Lewandowski. The Poland international, after all, is among the most prolific goal-scorers in recent memory. However, this does not imply that Bayern has stopped scoring goals.
Bayern has maintained its clinical edge in Leroy Sane, Jamal Musiala, and Sadio Mane’s hands, or should we say legs. Sane has been in excellent form this season and has eight goals to his credit.
Mane isn’t far behind with seven, and the former Liverpool player is showing himself to be a solid acquisition. Musiala, a young player, is having a breakout season and has seven goals to his credit thus far.
Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Julian Alvarez: Manchester City – 29 goals
With the signing of Erling Haaland, Manchester City is beginning to display an attack that is more imposing than ever. Since joining Manchester City this summer, the Norwegian international has completely dominated the Premier League. In his first eight league games, he has already scored three hat tricks.
Incredibly, Haaland has scored 19 goals so far this season while receiving ample support from his teammates. The two players who stand out among them are Phil Foden and Kevin De Bruyne. Foden has six goals so far this season in all competitions.
Another recent addition, Julian Alvarez, has already scored four goals and has consistently displayed great intent whenever he has been used.
Neymar Jr., Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe: Paris Saint-Germain – 30 goals
For any coach, having a frontline that includes Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi, and Neymar would be the stuff of dreams. This summer, Mauricio Pochettino was replaced as the head coach of Paris Saint-Germain by Christopher Galtier. He has thus far done a respectable job and has his assailants firing on all cylinders.
With 11 goals in as many games across all competitions, Neymar has been in sensational form to start the new season. Mbappe has also been in outstanding goal-scoring form, contributing 11 of his own.
Messi has been able to score and create goals at will; he has done so eight times so far this season.
