Scott Parker earliest Premier League sacking

Scott Parker became one of the earliest Premier League sackings only four games into the season. The Bournemouth manager faced a 9-0 defeat against Liverpool, which was the final straw that led to his departure.

Here are some of the other fastest Premier League dismissals.

Four games — Peter Reid (Man City)

One point, and one goal scored in four games led to Peter Reid’s dismissal before the end of August. Brian Horton came in and helped them to a 16th place finish.

Four games — Frank de Boer (Crystal Palace)

After joining Palace, de Boer had a nightmare start to the campaign with four losses and no goals. He was sacked with the worst record of all-time.

Four games — Javi Gracia (Watford)

It took Watford only four games to dismiss Javi Garcia into the new season, after earning only one point from four games. The previous season, they achieved a mid table finish and reached the final of the FA Cup. But, things didn’t pan out well afterwards for Garcia.

Two games — Kenny Dalglish (Newcastle United)

We are now in the category of the real earliest Premier League sackings. Two draws into the new season for a side that usually challenged for Europe was the tipping point.

Two games — Paul Sturrock (Southampton)

Sturrock ended the 02/03 season with a five match winless run. Even though they were able to win one of their games of the new season, he was sacked two games in.
