Barcelona earned their 17th consecutive win away from home in La Liga with a 3-0 victory over Sevilla. New summer signing Raphinha got his first official goal for the club 20 minutes into the game, giving his side an early lead.
Robert Lewandowski went on to score his fifth La Liga goal in four games, becoming only the third player in the 21st century to achieve this feat. The Polish forward has had a sensational start to the season, and is showing no signs of slowing down despite his age.
Barcelona earn dominant win over Sevilla
Eric Garcia scored the third and final goal of the game, tapping in the ball from close range five minutes into the second half to make it 3-0. The Blaugranas have scored eleven goals in their last four games, the same as rivals Real Madrid. However, they are two points behind due to their draw against Rayo Vallecano in the season opener.
Following their woes under former managers, Barcelona look to have returned to their glory days – at least in terms of the way they play. The Catalonians now feature a confident and controlling style of play under Xavi, which is also earning them the right results.
Sevilla, on the other hand, have a lot of work to do. They have only earned one point from their first four games, and need to gear up with difficult fixtures against Villarreal and Atletico Madrid coming up next.
