Intel Arc A380 Entry-Level GPU is powerful enough to run the new Crysis Game at 1080p

An entry-level graphics card with the complete ACM-G11 GPU and Alchemist Xe-HPG architecture is the Intel Arc A380. It contains the entire GPU setup, which employs 8 Xe-Cores or 1024 ALUs. Additionally, the graphics card has 6 GB of GDDR6 RAM operating at a TBP of roughly 92W. The card’s maximum frequency rating of 2450 MHz demonstrates that Intel is making the most of TSMC’s 6nm manufacturing node. The card has a 15.5 Gbps VRAM clock for 186 GB/s of bandwidth across a 96-bit bus interface.

The GUNNIR Intel Arc A380 Photon OC graphics card was used in the testing carried out by the tech publication. There are currently just two bespoke designs on the market, and this is one of them. The card runs at a faster clock speed of 2450 MHz and has a slightly higher TBP of 92W (compared to the reference’s 75W) (vs 2250 Mhz).

The original Crysis version, not the remastered version, was used to evaluate the Intel Arc A380 graphics card.

The earlier game’s resolution was set to 1080p and it makes use of the DX10 API (FHD). “Very High” quality settings with 4x MSAA were used. Even though it’s more than ten years old, the original Crysis still a challenging game. The original Crysis is outclassed by the remastered version’s even more GPU-taxing quality options, like Ray tracing capabilities and higher-res textures.

It was demonstrated how the Intel Arc A380 graphics card handled a brief portion of the game. This is from the “Paradise Lost” level, which is the first one you reach after leaving the Ceph mothership. Some of my favourite portions of the game include the “Core” segment and the latter stages, which include the recognisable “Ascension” VTOL passages. Returning to the game’s performance, it ran at a very smooth 60–70 FPS and even reached an 80+ FPS level.

Given that Arc GPUs are only well-optimized for DX12 and Vulkan titles, with a few DX11 titles making the exception, there was no frame stuttering, which is a good demonstration. According to PCGH, they had no issues running the game in DX10 API, and they want to shortly compare the performance to an AMD Radeon RX 6400 graphics card.
